Chapter 72: Kabandha Tells Rāma About Sugrīva
Text 3.72.13
वानरेन्द्रो महावीर्यस्तेजोवानमितप्रभः।
सत्यसन्धो विनीतश्च धृतिमान्मतिमान्महान्॥
vānarendro mahā-vīryas tejovān amita-prabhaḥ
satya-sandho vinītaś ca dhṛtimān matimān mahān
vānara-indraḥ = that king of monkeys; mahā-vīryaḥ = has great prowess; tejovān = strength; amita-prabhaḥ = [and] unrestrained intellect; satya-sandhaḥ = he is truthful to his promises; vinītaḥ = humble; ca = and; dhṛtimān = tolerant; matimān = thoughtful; mahān = great.
That king of monkeys has great prowess, strength [and] unrestrained intellect.1 He is truthful to his promises, humble, tolerant, thoughtful and great.
