Chapter 72: Kabandha Tells Rāma About Sugrīva
Text 3.72.14
दक्षः प्रगल्भो द्युतिमान्महाबलपराक्रमः।
भ्रात्रा विवासितो राम राज्यहेतोर्महाबलः॥
dakṣaḥ pragalbho dyutimān mahā-bala-parākramaḥ
bhrātrā vivāsito rāma rājya-hetor mahā-balaḥ
dakṣaḥ = he is expert; pragalbhaḥ = bold; dyutimān = lovely; mahā-bala-parākramaḥ = and filled with great strength and heroism; bhrātrā = by his brother; vivāsitaḥ = has been exiled; rāma = Rāma; rājya-hetoḥ = because of a kingdom; mahā-balaḥ = [Sugrīva] of great strength.
He is expert, bold, lovely and filled with great strength and heroism. Rāma, [Sugrīva] of great strength has been exiled by his brother because of a kingdom.
