भृशं ते खादतो मत्स्यान्पम्पायाः पुष्पसञ्चये।
पद्मगन्धि शिवं वारि सुखशीतमनामयम्॥
उद्धृत्य सतताक्लिष्टं रौप्यस्फाटिकसन्निभम्।
असौ पुष्करपर्णेन लक्ष्मणः पाययिष्यति॥
bhṛśaṁ te khādato matsyān pampāyāḥ puṣpa-sañcaye
padma-gandhi śivaṁ vāri sukha-śītam anāmayam
uddhṛtya satatākliṣṭaṁ raupya-sphāṭika-sannibham
asau puṣkara-parṇena lakṣmaṇaḥ pāyayiṣyati
bhṛśam = continuously; te = while You; khādataḥ = feed; matsyān = the fish; pampāyāḥ = of Pampā; puṣpa-sañcaye = amidst flowers [growing in the lake]; padma-gandhi = [that water] is fragrant like the lotus; śivam = the auspicious; vāri = water; sukha-śītam = pleasant and cool; anāmayam = it prevents diseases; uddhṛtya = will fetch [it]; satata-akliṣṭam = it is always free from impurities; raupya-sphāṭika-sannibham = and it sparkles like silver and crystal; asau = He; puṣkara-parṇena = using a lotus leaf; lakṣmaṇaḥ = Lakṣmaṇa; pāyayiṣyati = will give [You] to drink.
While You continuously feed the fish, Lakṣmaṇa will give [You] the auspicious water of Pampā to drink.1 He will fetch [it] amidst flowers [growing in the lake] using a lotus leaf. [That water] is fragrant like the lotus, pleasant and cool. It prevents diseases. It is always free from impurities and it sparkles like silver and crystal.

“Pleasant and cool” means “not too cold.”
