Chapter 75: Śrī Rāmacandra Reaches Pampā
Text 3.75.22
स रामो विविधान्वृक्षान्सरांसि विविधानि च।
पश्यन्कामाभिसन्तप्तो जगाम परमं ह्रदम्॥
sa rāmo vividhān vṛkṣān sarāṁsi vividhāni ca
paśyan kāmābhisantapto jagāma paramaṁ hradam
saḥ = He; rāmaḥ = Śrī Rāma; vividhān = the several; vṛkṣān = trees; sarāṁsi = ponds; vividhāni = many; ca = and; paśyan = by watching; kāma-abhisantaptaḥ = became tormented by desire [for His wife]; jagāma = then reached; paramam = that excellent; hradam = lake known as Pampā.
By watching the several trees and many ponds, Śrī Rāma became tormented by desire [for His wife]. He then reached that excellent lake known as Pampā.
